Management changes at Volkswagen Leasing GmbH
Braunschweig, 26 May 2020. Several personnel changes are taking place in the management board of Volkswagen Leasing GmbH, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Volkswagen Financial Services AG. Armin Villinger is being appointed Chief Representative of Europe's largest automobile leasing company with effect from 1 June 2020. As Managing Director of Group Fleet International, part of his responsibilities since 1 July 2019 have already involved working for Volkswagen Financial Services AG. Villinger will assume overall responsibility for Sales Germany at Volkswagen Financial Services, taking over in this position from Knut Krösche, who is moving to Volkswagen AG. A new Managing Director Back Office, responsible for the finance domain of Volkswagen Leasing GmbH, is also being appointed on 1 June 2020. Hendrik Eggers will succeed Silke Finger in this function. Jens Legenbauer remains Chairman of the Management Board of Volkswagen Leasing GmbH.
Armin Villinger (58) studied business administration at the University of Regensburg and has worked within the Volkswagen Group for 31 years. He began his career in purchasing at Audi in Ingolstadt in 1989. After holding various positions in purchasing and product management, he took over the management of sales to public authorities in 2000. After 2004 his area of responsibility was extended to include sales to fleet and special customers and subsequently covered sales to fleet and direct customers as well as used vehicle sales. In 2017 he moved to Volkswagen AG in Wolfsburg, where he was responsible for Group Fleet International. Since 2019 he has been Head of Importer Control & Group Fleet and simultaneously Head of Group Fleet International at Volkswagen Financial Services AG in Braunschweig.
Knut Krösche (51) will move to Volkswagen AG on 1 August 2020, where he will head the Mobile Services section in the Car.Software organization, which is responsible as a cross-brand technology platform for the further development and implementation of all global digital services. Knut Krösche joined the Volkswagen Group in 2008 and served as Sales Director at SEAT Deutschland GmbH. In 2011 Krösche moved to Volkswagen Financial Services AG and assumed responsibility for International Fleet as well as International After Sales and Used Cars. Krösche then became Head of Sales Fleet Management/Fleet Customers and Chairman of the Management Board of CarMobility, a wholly-owned fleet company belonging to Volkswagen Financial Services AG. Since 2017 he has been Managing Director Front Office with responsibility for, among other areas, sales at Volkswagen Leasing. Krösche graduated in business administration at the University of Cologne, is married and has one child.
There will also be a new Managing Director Back Office at Volkswagen Leasing starting from 1 June 2020. Silke Finger is resigning her post at the end of May and will be leaving the company under a retirement program. Her successor will be Hendrik Eggers (52).
Eggers earned his degree in business management from the Leibniz Academy in Hannover (University of Cooperative Education) and has been with Volkswagen Financial Services for 27 years. After starting out in human resources at Volkswagen Bank, he served in numerous management capacities, including positions in controlling and accounting at Volkswagen Bank and Volkswagen Leasing. He was employed at Volkswagen Bank Polska S.A. in Warsaw between 2004 and 2007 and again between 2012 and 2015. Since 2017 he has been Head of Finance at Volkswagen Financial Services Digital Solutions in Braunschweig. Hendrik Eggers is married and has two children.
