Braunschweig, 5 March 2019. Jens Legenbauer, who currently holds the position of Regional Manager Europe at Volkswagen Financial Services AG (VW FS AG), will become Chairman of the Management Board of Volkswagen Leasing GmbH, a wholly-owned subsidiary of VW FS AG, on 1 July 2019. He succeeds Anthony Bandmann, who will be moving on that date to Herndon, USA, to become President and CEO of VW Credit Inc., where he will also have regional responsibility for the USA, Canada and Mexico.
Jens Legenbauer is a 53-year-old business graduate who began his career at Volkswagen AG and moved to Volkswagen Financial Services AG in Braunschweig in 1995. Between 1997 and 1999, Legenbauer was Head of Controlling, Accounting, Treasury and Risk Management at Volkswagen Bank/Volkswagen Leasing in Poland. Following various positions at VW FS AG, he held several executive posts after 2005 within Volkswagen Leasing and subsequently VW FS AG, including Head of Contract Management and Head of Sales South/East. Legenbauer was born in Braunschweig, is married and has two daughters.
Anthony Bandmann is a 46-year-old business graduate who moved to Braunschweig in 2012 to become Chairman of the Management Board of Volkswagen Bank GmbH. In addition to his duties in this position, Bandmann also served after 2012 as Managing Director for the company Volkswagen Versicherungsdienst. Since September 2017, Bandmann has been Chairman of the Management Board of Volkswagen Leasing GmbH. Bandmann is an American citizen, is married and has one son and one daughter.
From 1 July 2019 onwards, the Management Board of Volkswagen Leasing will comprise Jens Legenbauer (Chairman), Knut Krösche and Silke Finger.
