Dual study programme Business Informatics (B.Sc.)
Learn to understand the digitalisation of the economy. Together with our educational partner Leibniz University of Applied Sciences Hannover, you can continue your education in business informatics and learn about scientific backgrounds and facts.
In practice, you will work in numerous departments and can enrich your theoretical knowledge with practical experience inside and outside the IT departments. Trained experts will take over your professional supervision.

- You will gain exciting insights into the areas of installation and maintenance of complex systems, customer consulting, user training, and test procedures.

Dual study programme IT-Security (B. Sc.)
At our educational partner, the Leibniz University of Applied Sciences Hannover, you will learn about scientific backgrounds and issues, which you will test, implement and deepen during your time at the company.
In practice, you will familiarise yourself with various IT departments and non-IT business areas. We will support you on your personal path to becoming an IT security specialist, while trained experts from the respective departments will provide technical support.

Your tasks
- You will learn to analyse, abstract and solve problems in a wide range of application areas
- Among other things, you will deal with elementary processes, computer structures, the distribution of information in computer networks and the development and implementation of software / hardware
- At times, you will work in a team – for example in projects inside and outside VW FS
- Specials, such as participating in trade fairs and school visits or the supervision of new trainees, are also part of your activities

Dual Study Programme Business Administration – Digital Marketing and Sales (B.A.)
As a prospective specialist in the areas of social media management, online sales, or data analytics, you will learn – in addition to the operational processes of Volkswagen Financial Services – the basics of general business administration as well as in-depth knowledge in strategic and operational marketing, data analytics, and performance & cross-media marketing. Apply your acquired knowledge in various areas, such as brand communication or product management.
Requirements – your profile
- At least advanced technical college entrance qualification
- Enjoy digital marketing and sales
- High affinity for social media and strong social and communication skills
- Interest in digital change (explicit technical knowledge is not required)
- High level of commitment
Your tasks
- You will learn the basics of general business administration as well as in-depth knowledge in strategic and operational marketing, data analytics, and performance & cross-media marketing.
- During your dual study programme, you will have access to all our information and communication technologies, including our multimedia applications.
- At times, you will work in a team – for example in projects inside and outside VW FS.

As a prospective specialist in the areas of leasing, financing and insurance, you will learn – in addition to the operational processes of Volkswagen Financial Services – the basics of general business administration as well as optional in-depth knowledge in the fields of controlling, data analytics, investment & financing, financial planning, human resources & organisation management, and taxes / annual financial statements. Of course, our contact persons and departments within the company are available to you during the dual study programme. Whether it’s a question of content, expert interviews for assignments, or interest in a more in-depth departmental assignment: You can rely on internal knowledge and support from the departments.

Your tasks
- We advise our private and corporate clients on the entire broad range of banking and insurance service products. You learn about the different forms of investing money and assets (securities, bonds, real estate) and the various ways of borrowing money (loans, construction financing).
- You are in the thick of things and learn to analyse customer needs and close insurance gaps. You learn how claims are settled and how expert opinions are prepared

As a prospective specialist in the field of leasing, you will learn – in addition to the operational processes of Volkswagen Financial Services – the basics of general business administration as well as in-depth knowledge of controlling, contract and risk management in leasing. During your practical phases, you will have the opportunity to get to know departments that deal with the leasing of our Group models, so that you can understand and implement what you have learned more easily. We will support you on your personal path while trained experts from the respective departments will take over the technical supervision.

Your tasks
- With the Leasing specialisation, you have the opportunity to apply your knowledge in practice in a variety of departments at our company. Areas such as Controlling, Risk Management, Sales, or Corporate Controlling at Volkswagen Leasing offer you possible departments in which you can put your qualifications to the test.
- You will be able to independently calculate leasing rates and compare leasing with other types of procurement or weigh them up in a customer-oriented manner. International leasing markets are also not new territory for you, so that you can also offer Volkswagen Leasing great added value here.

1. Receipt of your application
After you have created an applicant profile and placed your application for your dream training occupation, you will receive a confirmation of receipt by e-mail. This may also appear in your spam folder. If you have not received an e-mail, please check your applicant profile to see whether you have sent your application.
2. Your application will be reviewed
We will check your application thoroughly. This may take some time.
3. A pre-test will be conducted
Your application has aroused our interest. We would like to get to know your strengths through the pre-test. This takes place online and lasts approx. 15-30 minutes.
4. An online test is conducted
Now it’s time to put your skills to the test. With the cognitive online test, which takes about 45-60 minutes, you can secure your ticket to the next round.
5. We invite you for an interview
We will take the time to get to know you and your skills even better. At the same time, you have the opportunity to ask us all your questions and learn even more about VW FS.
6. We will inform you of our decision

When does the training / dual study programme begin?
The official start date for the training / dual study programme is 1 August each year.
What do I earn during my training / dual study at Volkswagen Financial Services?
You will receive an attractive training allowance of over 1,100 Euros gross per month. We also pay your tuition or training fees.
How much knowledge of the specific topic do I need to have?
Your interest should be present in any case, but explicit technical knowledge is not required. In basic training courses, you will learn the basics that you need for your practical work in the departments.
What attachments do I need to include with my application?
It is mandatory to attach the last two certificates of the mainstream school as well as a CV. Applicants attending a secondary school should also enclose the most recent report card from this school, if available. Please note that applications will not be processed without complete report cards attached.
At what point are the report marks compared?
In the invitation to the interview, you will be asked to bring your school reports. At this time the information will be confirmed. Applicants who have provided false information will be eliminated from the selection process.
What is the pre-test and when do I take it?
To get to know you better, all applicants for an apprenticeship who meet our entry requirements receive an invitation to take an online pre-test. The test takes about 45 minutes and can be taken from any PC with internet access. The password sent with the invitation is valid for one week. For reasons of fairness to other candidates, pre-tests cannot be repeated once they have been started. Please make sure that you are not disturbed during the pre-test. Please note that each candidate may only take the test once! If you are in any doubt, please contact us by phone at 0531-212-899543 or by email at recruiting@vwfs.com.
Why is the login page for the pre-test not displayed?
We ask you to make sure you have a good internet connection. If you have entered the test participation link by hand in your browser, check your entry for typing errors. You will find detailed information on how to carry out the test in connection with browsers under the menu item “Help”. There, you can also download the required software to your computer.
After logging in, I see a start page – how can I start the test?
Scroll down on the start page. Click on the “Start now” button – the test will open in a new window. If a new window does not open after clicking the “Start now” button, deactivate your browser’s pop-up blocker (this is only necessary in exceptional cases, however).
The test cannot be displayed – only a blank page or the message “The website cannot be displayed” appears.
You may have lost connection to the Internet. We ask you to check your internet connection by opening any web page in a new window. If you have an internet connection, reload the test by refreshing the page. If this does not help, close the window and log out. Log in again using your credentials and restart the test. If the problem persists, check whether you have installed a suitable browser. You will find detailed information on the required browsers under the menu item “Help”. There, you can also download the required software to your computer.
