Manuela Voigt new Chair of the Management Board of Volkswagen Leasing GmbH –
Verena Roth joins the Management Board
 

Armin Villinger moves to Volkswagen Financial Services Overseas AG and will leave the Group in the fourth quarter of 2024

Braunschweig, July 9, 2024. The Management Board of Volkswagen Leasing GmbH has been reorganized in the course of the corporate restructuring of Volkswagen Financial Services AG. As part of this reorganization, Manuela Voigt assumed the position of Chairwoman of the Management Board with effect from July 1, 2024. She succeeds Armin Villinger, who has moved to Volkswagen Financial Services Overseas AG and will be leaving the Volkswagen Group in the fourth quarter of 2024 under a retirement program. In addition, Verena Roth has joined the Management Board of Volkswagen Leasing GmbH as a new member. She had previously headed the Group Fleet International division at Volkswagen Financial Services AG.

Manuela Voigt was born in Mühlhausen (Thuringia) and studied business administration at the Berufsakademie (BA) Karlsruhe with a specialization in banking. After working in positions outside the Volkswagen Group, she joined Volkswagen Leasing GmbH in 2002. She gained experience in various business areas within Volkswagen Leasing GmbH and at Volkswagen Finans AB in Sweden. In 2015, Manuela Voigt joined the Management Board of Vehicle Trading International (VTI) GmbH, where she was in charge of used car marketing and the further development of the national and international used car business. Up until her appointment to the Management Board of Volkswagen Leasing GmbH on August 1, 2022, Manuela Voigt was responsible for various major strategic projects with a digital and sales focus.

Armin Villinger headed Volkswagen Leasing GmbH as CEO for two years in his capacity as Chairman of the Management Board, having previously served as Chief Representative and Head of Sales at the company since May 2020. Born in Wangen (Allgäu) in southern Germany, he had already been employed in various management roles within the Volkswagen Group for around 35 years, including at Audi. After working in purchasing and product management at Audi AG, the business graduate held various sales positions at that company in the fleet and direct customer segments. In 2017 he moved to Volkswagen AG in Wolfsburg and was responsible for Group Fleet International until April 2020. 

Verena Roth was born in Mönchengladbach and, after completing her training as an automobile saleswoman, studied business management at the Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences with a focus on the automotive industry. The business graduate then joined Volkswagen Bank GmbH in 2005, starting in sales support and working her way through various departments. Since 2021, she has headed various sections within Volkswagen Bank, in particular sales strategy and corporate customer sales, before taking over the regional management of Sales Region West for individual and fleet customers at Volkswagen Leasing GmbH. Since the end of 2023, Ms Roth has headed Group Fleet International.

As of July 1, 2024, the Management Board of Volkswagen Leasing GmbH comprises Manuela Voigt (Chairwoman and Management Market Germany), Hendrik Eggers (Back Office), and Verena Roth (Sales Market Germany).
