1. Receipt of your application
After you have created an applicant profile and placed your application for your dream trainee position, you will receive a confirmation of receipt by e-mail. This may also appear in your spam folder. If you have not received an e-mail, please check your applicant profile to see whether you have sent your application.
2. Your application will be reviewed
Both the recruiting team and the recruiting department will thoroughly review your application. This may take some time.
3. First meeting to get to know you and us
We will take the time to get to know you and your skills even better. At the same time, you have the opportunity to ask us all your questions and learn even more about VW FS. The conversation can take place by phone, Microsoft Teams, or in person.
4. An online test is conducted
You were able to convince us of your qualities in a personal interview. In our 45 to 60-minute online cognitive test, we would now like to get to know you a little better. After being invited to take this test, you have seven days to complete it. We recommend that you take the test in a quiet environment where you can concentrate well.
5. We invite you to the Match Day
We take a whole day to get to know you, and your skills, and abilities even better. At the same time, you will have the opportunity to ask your questions and check whether we are the right match for you. Our Match Day allows you to get to know potential supervisors even better, gain an insight into our working environment, and learn more about the tasks of your desired position.
6. We will inform you of our decision
On the day of the Match Day, you will receive qualified feedback from us. We will also discuss all further steps with you here.

What are the entry requirements to become a trainee at Volkswagen Financial Services?
As a trainee, you have either become thoroughly acquainted with your field during your studies or you have specialist knowledge that will make you a specialist in this area. You are equally welcome with experience and knowledge that you have gained during your studies, in the course of your previous professional activity, or during a stay abroad.
How many months in advance should I apply?
Please apply for the trainee programme as well as for direct entry approximately three to six months before your desired start date. Send us your complete application documents by online application. Vacancies are published in the current job offers.
Are there fixed entry dates for the trainee programme?
No, the respective starting dates are announced in the job advertisements.
What modules are part of the 12-month trainee programme “Digital Talent“?
The mandatory modules include a wide range of project assignments in Germany and abroad with focus on digital topics. These are discussed in so-called programme planning meetings with the sponsor and the trainee coordinator. This results in an individual programme plan for each trainee. Furthermore, seminars, internships in production, and customers service as well as network meetings are relevant components. Excursions and also deployment at a brand of the group can also be optional components. As a digital talent, you take responsibility for the organisation of the assignments from the very beginning.
What happens at the end of the trainee programme?
After the programme, you will be assigned to a specialist department (depending on your qualifications, business needs, and personal interests) on digital topics within the framework of a permanent employment contract, and you will be able to gain further qualifications within the framework of our existing personnel instruments and development offers. At the latest, you can benefit now from the network you have built up, your experience, and the knowledge you have acquired!
